Bike to Bike communications equipment.
Bike to bike and rider to pillion communications
These headset systems include a microphone and speakers(s) for fitting in your helmet and a handlebar mounted PTT (press to talk) switch. Most of the kits are available with a boom type microphone for open style helmets OR a flat microphone for use with closed helmets. The kits have standard 2-pin plugs to fit most radios OR single pin plugs to fit Motorola and some other models. We also have adapter leads to convert the two pin plugs to suit other models. These kits operate in press to talk mode, not VOX.
A VOX adaptor is available below, for use with some of these kits.

MOTORCYCLE HELMET KIT FLAT MICROPHONE HM100-R309 |

The HM100 has a flat microphone for use with closed face helmets.
This kit is supplied with the standard 2.5/3.5 twin plug that will fit Yeasu, Alan, Cobra (older models) and Icom radios without using any adaptor. Adapter leads are available below to allow these kits to be used with other models .

Due to the unreliability of VOX operated systems at speeds above 30 mph, we recommend PTT switching.
The MH-500 uses a PTT switch which allows users to have total control over all transmissions, stopping any unwanted interference.
Most PTT systems can be awkward and clumsy, but the MH-500 has a neat, compact PTT switch that fits easily onto your handlebar. It also comes with an ear piece and a microphone that are attached to the inside of your helmet with Velcro.
Suitable for Midland G7, 445, 456R

An adaptor to fit in place of the handle bar PTT switch normally found in helmet microphone systems, this adaptor allows VOX facility to be used when VOX compatible radios are used with the helmet microphone systems.
Usually only successful at low speeds because of background noise.
