OLD UK fire brigade frequencies
On 17 July 2009 the operators Airwave Solutions Ltd, claims it has completed the installation of new radio equipment in around two thirds of the 8,440 fire and rescue service (FRS) vehicles and is currently in use among 29 FRSs. So very shortly all UK Fire and Rescue transmissions will be on Airwave too. Many counties have closed their VHF scheme.
